Greetings to the wonderful McCall community,

Before we embark on this new chapter of our educational journey together, I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and share some of the experiences that have led me to McCall. Teaching and guiding young minds has been an integral part of my life's journey, starting all the way back in my mother's third-grade classroom. Over the years, my passion for education has only grown stronger, and I am humbled to announce that this year marks my 32nd year in the field, with 18 of those years dedicated to educational leadership.

My path has brought me through various roles within the Aledo ISD family, including Coder Elementary, McAnally Intermediate, and Stuard Elementary. However, what truly drives me is the belief that educators have the power to profoundly impact a student's capacity to learn. Witnessing those magical "ah-ha" moments, where understanding dawns upon a student, is an unparalleled joy for me. Moreover, I have seen the incredible transformation when students truly grasp their learning, taking ownership of it. These assessment-capable learners set goals, chart their paths to success, and persevere until those goals are achieved. In previous years, I've had the privilege of engaging students in conversations about these processes, and it's been truly remarkable to witness how this approach enhances their learning journey.

Now, I am thrilled to be a part of the vibrant McCall family. What stands out most about McCall is the remarkable sense of community that permeates through our staff, students, and parents. The shared dedication to championing learning is truly inspiring. I've often heard the phrase, "McCall is a family, and we take care of each other," and it resonates deeply with me. This ethos of mutual support is something I hold dear, as I firmly believe that Bearcats take care of Bearcats. This sentiment is particularly strong at McCall, and I am eager to contribute to and foster this environment as we collaborate to guide and nurture our students.

With enthusiasm, I anticipate the opportunity to work alongside each of you and our remarkable students in the coming year. Let's join forces to create an environment where learning thrives, and the McCall family continues to flourish.
