Assistant Principal
Mrs. Karen May
Hello McCall Families,
I am Karen May, the assistant principal of McCall Elementary. It has been so fulfilling working with the families and students in Aledo for the past few years, and I look forward to continuing to serve as an administrator at McCall this school year. I am in my 16th year in education and have taught students at the high school level down to elementary before becoming an assistant principal here in Aledo ISD. As a teacher, I taught special education and gifted learners. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Oral Roberts University then went on to earn a master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Triple Literacy from The University of Texas at Arlington and a master’s in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. My husband, Matthew, and I are proud parents to our curious 3rd grader, McKenzie, who is also a fellow McCall Cat. I am excited to support students, teachers, and families as we learn together. I look forward to seeing all our students and families back on campus this year and am excited about serving our community as we experience growth. Please do not hesitate to call me, email me, or just stop and say hello anytime!
