Congratulations Spring 2024-2025 Circle of Greatness Special Honorees!
Please help us congratulate our Spring 2024 - 2025 Circle of Greatness Special Honorees!
These employees were chosen from among the many amazing nominees for Circle of Greatness to represent the best of the best of our auxiliary, paraprofessional, substitute, and professional categories! They will now be in the running for the overall districtwide Circle of Greatness awards in August!
Read below what some of their nominees said about how they are Growing Greatness in our district!
In Aledo ISD, parents, students, community members, fellow staff members - ANYONE - can nominate ANY staff member to be recognized in this way! Thank you to the many Aledo ISD community members that took the time to nominate someone seen going above and beyond and being All in Aledo!
Auxiliary: Andrea Winkfield
On Tuesday, March 4th the power went out and even though we had a 2 hour delay, Andrea came in and helped get stuff ready for the kids. Prepped tons of yummy nachos chips in the dark. She helped to get the kiddos breakfast ready and rocked the day all in time for lunch at 10:30. I appreciate all her hard work and the dedication she has for the kids.
We had our audit in March and Andrea was such a huge help. She is always so calm under pressure. I appreciate her help so much this year.
Paraprofessional: Lauren Melanson
Lauren exemplifies Growing Greatness by always going above and beyond to help everyone in need, especially fellow registrars. She always step's up when one of us is out and is always willing to go the extra mile to collaborate with other PEIMS/registrars. She is a fountain of knowledge and truly represents Aledo ISD's Growing Greatness.
Lauren has jumped in to help answer questions and mentor those new individuals without complaint. Our WebEx group allows for real time collaboration and Lauren monitors this along with another co-worker to ensure that these new additions get an answer quickly. It takes a team to do PEIMS in such a fast growing district, and I am so happy to have Lauren as part of that team.
Substitute: Monica Adams
Both of my students as well as friends of my students have gone out of their way to comment on how much fun music is with Ms. Adams, the recently placed long-term substitute. They are learning to play chords on the ukulele, read music, learn about pitch, and other music-related educational activities. Ms. Adams approach to the class is generating energy, curiosity, and working their minds to be a creative outlet, leaving all students appreciating new skills....precisely how the fine arts are intended.
Mrs. Adams has gone above and beyond in her role as a long-term sub to make music come alive for my kids. Both children have raved about their music class with Mrs. Adams. My kids have shared new songs, movements, rhythms, and musical games with our family that they learned in Mrs. Adams' class, and they continue enjoying these at home!
Professional: Tim Rogers
First and foremost, Tim is driven by the success of the students of AISD. Everything he does is to benefit them, because of this drive he is willing to help out any where at any time and most of time it's before anyone has to ask.
Tim is constantly going above and beyond for our CTE department. In particular, he provides outstanding customer service to our teachers. He can be found hand-delivering packages, completing purchase orders, helping cover classes, etc. He is 'All In" and does whatever it takes! No job is too big or too small! This past Saturday he spent his day getting rental suburbans geared up and ready for our group traveling to TAFE in Galveston. He is an absolute game-changer!
Tim Rogers repeatedly showed up for and supported Bearcat Student Media this year in far too many ways to count, but he is unquestionably deserving to be a part of the Circle of Greatness. Every time he walks into the newsroom, he brings light and joy. When we have a problem or a situation, no matter what it is, he jumps on it and fixes it however he can. He understands the level and magnitude of the organization, and he respects what we do, so he does whatever he can to make our lives easier and less stressful.
